Brush with the Real World

Brush with the Real World

"Drawing on children's love of visual fantasy, a Brush with the Real World tells a comical story about an animator and his character. The character, Rupert, is a bad tempered artist who makes demands until his creator eventually shows him the limitations of his cartoon world".

Artist John Haag presents a live stop motion animation using 3D motion capture technology to create a cartoon environment kids can not only watch but participate in.

The full performance will be at Brisbane Powerhouse Arts on July 6 & 7, with a taster event at The Edge on June 24. Both are free.

Created by artist John Haag and supported through the Australia Council for the Art's Digital Culture Fund.
